How to install and use skype

Skype is a program that lets you make free phone calls from your computer. You can download Skype for free from the company’s website.

Download the installation file to your desktop and double click on the icon to run it.
Select your language and click the checkbox to acknowledge that you have read the program’s terms and conditions. After you have done this, click “Install.” 
After this process is completed, you will be asked to create an account. Enter the required information and click “Next” to progress through the setup screens.
You will automatically be signed into the program. Keep in mind that it is free to call another Skype user, but if you want to call a regular phone from the program you will have to pay a small fee. If you want to make a regular phone call, type the number into the box at the bottom of the screen and click the green phone icon.
The program offers you the ability to find Skype users by typing in their user names, phone numbers, real names or e-mail addresses. Skype also converts many of the phone numbers you see online into buttons. If you click on any of these buttons, the program will automatically dial out to that phone number.
